Workshop 5x5

Workshop 5x5, a methodological framework developed by EAHR, Workshop 5x5 is a workshop designed to explore the relation between architecture and human rights, as well as the implications, challenges and prospects of acknowledging Architecture as a Human Right.

The workshop is aimed to stimulate a critical debate where participants will be involved in a dramatic change which implicates to shift the traditional conception of architects as aesthetics constructors, to architects as ethic constructors.

Participants will be involved in studying 5 humanitarian crisis  in 5 different places and cultures in the world and will be challenged to develop strategic solutions which will give the students a global perspective of the challenges we are facing in our world today.The 5 cases are according to the international classification of humanitarian disasters:
  1. Natural disasters

  2. Man made disasters

  3. Climate change

  4. Pandemic.
